Dear Distinguished Member of the Charlotte Community,
Marines have a proud tradition of serving our country since 1775. Each year, around the globe, we gather to commemorate the founding of the Corps. Please join us this November as we celebrate the 240th birthday of the United States Marine Corps.
The Marine Corps Coordinating Council of Greater Charlotte and Combat Logistics Battalion 451 will host this year’s event. The Marine Coordinating Council of Greater Charlotte is a local, non-profit organization dedicated to supporting our local area Marines and their families. Combat Logistics Battalion 451 is the Marine Corps Reserve unit located in Charlotte.
The Charlotte area Marine Corps Birthday Ball will be held on Friday, November 6th at 6:00 pm at the Charlotte Convention Center. Our guest of honor will be General James F. Amos, USMC (ret), 35th Commandant of the Marine Corps.
Join us November 6th for a formal evening of Marine Corps tradition, history and celebration.
LtGen Frank Panter, USMC (ret)
